City-Wide Church Multiplication Party
Dear Pastors, Disciple Making Catalysts, and Church Multiplication Leaders,
The Multiply PDX Team is excited to invite you to a city-wide dinner party and time of inspiration for church multiplication leaders in the Portland Metro area. The Spring Multiplication Party will highlight effective ways to Pastor and Shepard during an election year. We know that presidential election years are political and have the potential to be a strain for many under-shepherds, but faithfully leading God’s sheep through every season, including election, is a God given responsibility that we can be prepared, and equipped for. Matthew 19:26 reminds us that “with God all things are possible”; so if you are a Pastor/leader who could use a little extra encouragement this election year, join the party on May 17th and trust that God will give you just want you need to continue to shepherd well.
Join us for a night of networking, celebration, and inspiration. We can't wait to share this time with you. Please respond promptly to secure your spot at the event.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Portland Preaching Retreat
The Portland Preaching Retreat is a four-day retreat for teaching pastors in the Portland Metro Area. Designed to bless and serve local pastors, the Portland Preaching Retreat hosts a scholar who will teach on one book of the Bible over four days, going in depth on ways this content can be preached in a sermon series. This year, the guest scholar is Dr. Nijay Gupta, who will be teaching on Galatians. Overnight or drive-in options are available, but participants are expected to commit to being present for the duration of the retreat (lunch Tuesday through lunch Friday). Drive-in participants should plan to be at the Abbey from 8:30 AM - 6 PM each day.
Cost: The total cost of the retreat is $500, which includes overnight accommodations at the Abbey and all meals during the duration of your stay. There are a few spots available for people who choose to drive in each day instead of staying overnight, which costs $150 and includes lunch daily.
A limited number of scholarships are available to those who need them.
Please contact elise@togetherpdx.org for information.

As we see these new connections grow, we strive to nurture a diverse community of partners who are committed to the core values of Collaboration, Generosity, Hope, and Honor.

Gospel Gathering with Dr. Felicia Wu Song
Dr. Felicia Wu Song: Discipleship in a Digital Age
What is the Good News for a culture driven by the promises of productivity and digital technologies? We will examine how our contemporary digital practices function as “liturgy” that train our souls away from the Kingdom of God and suggest how Christian witness today can be rooted in a journey towards genuine communion with God that is framed by freedom in our relationships with our digital devices.
Learn more about Dr. Song here.

PastorsPDX exists to unify, connect, and strengthen pastors from all denominations, races, and economic spectrums to partner together in building healthy local churches who are committed to transforming all sectors of the greater Portland/Vancouver area through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As a part of this mission, pastors across the metro area facilitate places for pastors to regularly come together for prayer, encouragement, and relationship building. This Beaverton group is one of the newest groups launching, and pastors and church leaders of all kinds are invited to participate.
This will become a regular group that meets monthly, but there is no commitment. Come check this one out and see what you think!
Lunch is provided.

Together 2023
THIS SUMMER — LINK ARMS, LIFT JESUS HIGH, BE THE CHURCH.
Churches all around Portland will come together in a season of service and prayer, culminating in a worship gathering on the waterfront on the afternoon of Sunday, July 23rd. We want to give God all the glory for how He is using churches in Portland to be His hands, feet, and mouth! Let’s celebrate and witness to our metro area that we serve a God who is worthy of our praise. We can’t wait for the light of Christ to shine on this evening.
Reconciliation Prayer Space
The PDX Reconciliation Prayer Space has been specifically designed to bring healing and unity among our city. It provides a place to listen to history, learn about others, lament the brokenness and find a loving path forward. It is open M-Th 6 PM-8:30 PM.
The space is designed with local art and interactive prayer stations. We like to say it is an art exhibit that meets prayer space! Each station includes a piece or story from history, a scripture verse and a way to interact with the exhibit.
This prayer space is self paced and you can come alone or with a group.
This space is co-hosted by Civil Righteousness, PrayerPDX, YWAM PDX, and Bridgetown Church. For more information, visit civilrighteousness.org/pdx.
Sunday Night Prayer and Worship
Every Sunday for the three months leading up to the Together 2023 worship night on the waterfront, we have gathered in times of extended worship and prayer on Sunday evenings in Old Town Portland. This week, we will instead meet to prayer walk the waterfront in preparation for July 23rd. Meet at the Garden Church no later than 7:30. We will plan to return by 9 PM for a quick debrief and communion together.
We believe Old Town is a key area that has long been a stronghold for homelessness, drug dealing/addiction, and prostitution/sex trafficking, with a long history in the area that does not make this surprising. All of these are issues many churches are focusing on in prayer and service. Our heart is to host intentional, focused prayer in this space during the Summer of Service.

Understanding Portland's Homeless Crisis + What We Can Do About It
Understanding Portland's Homeless Crisis + What We Can Do About It
In the past two years, Portland has seen a 23% rise in homelessness and has been declared a state of emergency. What factors have given rise to this humanitarian crisis in our city? And how are we as followers of Jesus called to respond? On Sunday June 11th, River West is partnering together with Cedar Mill Bible Church to host a forum to lean into these questions. Participants will not only walk away better informed but also challenged to engage in strategic efforts that are successfully helping transition homeless individuals off the streets into long-term housing, recovery, and employment programs.
Presenters will include Doug Marshall (Founder, Hope for The Homeless Foundation), Lance Orton (Exec Dir, City Teams), Rhona Mahl (Exec Dir, Transitional Youth), along with Pastor Christopher (Mission Pastor, River West Church) and Pastor Ashley Bell from Cedar Mill Bible Church.
