ServePDX

SERVEPDX EXISTS TO MOBILIZE PASTORS, NON-PROFIT LEADERS, MARKETPLACE LEADERS, AND LOCAL CHURCHES TO SERVE THE COMPLEX NEEDS OF OUR COMMUNITIES TOGETHER.

In a time when complex social issues often overwhelm and divide communities, we believe that the Church is called to be a united, loving witness to our city. Addressing the most pressing challenges in our time requires churches and leaders to work together across denominational, civic, and social sectors. ServePDX exists to foster collaborative relationships among pastors, non-profit leaders, and churches across the Portland/Vancouver metro area. By cultivating environments where shared passions, goals, learning and resources can be exchanged, we are seeing diverse new communities band together to serve foster children, houselessness neighbors, refuges, trafficking survivors, and the incarcerated. As we seek ways to serve the needs of community together, we believe the Church’s witness will be amplified as we learn how to be more “perfectly one” as the body of Christ (John 17:23).

"No single organization is responsible for any major social problem, nor can any single organization cure it. As a result, complex problems can be solved only by cross-sector coalitions."
