Science as Gift to Mission and Ministry with Dr. David Wilkinson

  • Multnomah University 8435 Northeast Glisan Street Portland, OR, 97220 United States (map)

When science and faith are depicted as opposites, Christian leaders may struggle to engage scientific questions. But what if faith and science are not in conflict? What if we saw science as a gift from God that informs our leadership in an age of science? Reverend Professor David Wilkinson of St. John’s College at Durham University in Durham England is an astrophysicist, author and theologian working to bridge the gap between faith and science communities. Join us for this important lecture exploring science as a gift from God. A gift, when paired with our faith, can shape our mission and ministry as we work to develop a well-informed, theologically grounded, practical knowledge about the world and our place in it.
